So you are such a sawdust particle!
1、Are wood pellets toxic?
Wood pellets are just that – wood. When stored properly and burned in a modern pellet stove, they are not at all toxic.
2、Are wood pellets carbon neutral?
No. While the wood source itself is part of the carbon cycle, and hence carbon neutral, some energy is expended in the manufacturing and transport of pellets. Wood pellets are considered a low-carbon fuel. In fact, there currently aren’t any commodity fuel or energy sources that are truly carbon neutral.
3、What are torrefied wood pellets?
Torrefied wood pellets are a more dense type of pellet that burns like coal. The process of torrefaction removes all moisture and involves keeping wood pellets under high heat with no oxygen, thus turning them black and deeming them torrefied. They are denser, and easier and cheaper to store than “white” pellets. They are currently a small part of the pellet industry and meant for power generation more than home heating.
4、Are wood pellets tax deductible?
Depending on where you live in Canada, you can receive incentives. British Columbia, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon all offer financial incentives for using wood pellets.
5、Are wood pellets sustainable?
Yes. Wood pellets are a sustainable and renewable resource that contribute greatly to decreasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Canada, the United States and some parts of Europe.
6、What are premium wood pellets?
Premium wood pellets are higher quality wood pellets that contain less moisture to deliver more heat and have a lower ash content percentage, which leaves less ash to clean up. Premium pellets should contain no additives or chemically treated wood.
7、Why are wood pellets so expensive?
Wood pellets themselves are actually not expensive, coming in much cheaper than such alternatives as oil, propane or electric heat (depending on where you live). However, there is an upfront cost of a wood pellet stove or furnace, and good ones are not cheap. The idea is that you’ll incur a short payback period and save money in the long-term by converting to wood pellet systems, all while reducing your carbon footprint.
The HYG series solid biomass fuel drying equipment designed and produced by our company can be applied to: wood chips, straw, sugarcane bagasse, coconut shell, palm silk, wood chips, mushroom sticks, fruit shells, salix, and other combustible waste.
Technical characteristics of drying equipment:
This equipment adopts a three ring drum dryer to achieve a new process of high temperature and fast drying, which reduces the floor area by 2/3 compared to traditional dryers, saves 40% energy, and doubles the drying intensity.
1. The drying system utilizes a portion of its own products as fuel, without the need for additional fuel. Just add a continuous stream of dried wet sawdust to the system to produce continuous dry sawdust.
2. The drying system is equipped with a dedicated wood chip cyclone burner (no stoker is required) and an automatic return system (List of Chinese inventions patent). The burner will automatically adjust the ratio of combustion parameters to adjust the output of the burner according to the quality and output of the drying products. At the same time, the burner is a modular structure, no on-site masonry is required, and the installation is simple and convenient. The furnace is equipped with overtemperature alarm, flame monitoring, backfire alarm, and fuel isolation devices, Ensuring combustion safety.
3. The drying system is equipped with a three ring drum dryer and adopts a high-temperature fast drying process to increase the drying intensity. Improved thermal efficiency, reduced installed capacity and floor area, and ensured product quality.
4. The drying system adopts the fuzzy control principle, and is equipped with online moisture detection and automatic control of final water (List of Chinese inventions patent), which not only ensures the product quality, but also greatly reduces the labor intensity of workers.
5. The drying system adopts a unique method to minimize the possibility of combustion and explosion inside the machine, and is equipped with automatic fire and explosion prevention devices to ensure safe production.
